James Leroy Coleman, 65, of De Soto died Sept. 18, 2022, in Crystal City. Mr. Coleman loved Jesus and enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, bowling and telling stories. He was very proud to be a registered organ donor. Born March 10, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Pendegraft) Coleman.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Sandi, Dorothy, Donna, Pat, Tina, Paul, Chrissy, Erin, Michelle, Michael, Jennifer, Kimberly, Karen, Joseph, Scotty, Shannon, Amanda and Michael; by numerous great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-nieces and -nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Charles and Thomas Coleman; two sisters: Marie Smith and Judy DeLaney; a niece: Linda; and three nephews: John, Freddy and Charles.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home, followed by burial in the New St Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
