James Francis Ehrhard, 86, of Imperial died Feb. 1, 2022, at his home. Mr. Ehrhard spent most of his career as the owner of Ehrhard Printing, making labels, decals and stickers for many clients in the St. Louis region. He often shared the story of his company working with McDonnell Douglas in the 1960s to produce labels for the land rover that NASA sent to the moon. In addition to his strong work ethic, he had a heart for service to both his community and country. He was a volunteer firefighter for nearly a decade with the Shady Valley Fire Protection District and drove a tank for the U.S. Army Reserves in his early twenties from 1957 to 1963. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed spending time with his adoring family and traveling in his RV across North America with his wife and friends. He was born Nov. 16, 1935, in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife: Renate D. (Friedrichs) Ehrhard; two children: Curtis (Bonnie) Ehrhard and Karen Ehrhard; six grandchildren: Dana (Michael) Davis, Gina (Gabriel) Presley, Amanda (Matthew) Budwell, Scott Ehrhard, Tyler (Kati) Connors and Alyssa Waldmann;, and eight great-grandchildren.
