James F. “Jim” Kendall Sr., 76, of Pevely died Aug. 18, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Kendall was a retired salesman and a member of First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City. Born April 8, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of Erma Ruth (Dillman) Kendall of St. Louis and the late Benjamin “Francis” Kendall. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carole Jean (Herr) Kendall.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: James F. “Jimmy” (Lisa) Kendall Jr. of St. Charles and Jeff (Tina) Kendall of Herculaneum; two daughters: Jennifer (Chuck) Seyer of Oakville and Julie (Brian) Ferretti of St. Louis; three sisters: Jackie (Bill) Hutchison of St. Charles, Mary (the late Michael) Burnett of St. Charles and Donna (John) Mehrhoff of Florissant; a brother: David (Patti) Kendall of Cape Girardeau; and 12 grandchildren: Diane (William) Musgrave, James R. Kendall, Justin Kendall, Taylor Kendall, Sarah Kendall, Maria Ferretti, Noah Seyer, Jonathan Ferretti, Joshua Seyer, Joseph Ferretti, Nathan Seyer and Matthew Ferretti.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Karen (the late Donald) Walch; and a grandson: Zachary Scott Kendall.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Matt Culbertson. Burial is in the Herculaneum Cemetery.
