James Clement Politte, 87, of Crystal City died Jan. 25, 2020, at his home. Mr. Politte was a superintendent for State Farm Insurance and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. Born Dec. 16, 1932, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Cecila M. (Portell) and Leo H. Politte.
He is survived by his wife: Vila (Evans) Politte of Crystal City; two sons: John (Brenda) Politte of O’Fallon, Chris Politte of Oakville and Rob Politte of Crystal City; a sister: Ruth Ann of California; and a grandson: Drake Politte.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Don and Milton Politte.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
