James B. Norris Sr., 76, De Soto

James B. Norris Sr., 76, of De Soto died Aug. 2, 2021, in De Soto. Mr. Norris served in the National Guard. He was a realtor and owned Arnote Realty and previously owned Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born Oct. 25, 1944, in McCook, Neb., he was the son of the late James William and Mary Elizabeth “Duffy” (Duffner) Norris.

He is survived by his wife: Rosalia A. “Sally” (Agregado) Norris of De Soto; two children: James B. “J.B.” Norris Jr. of St. Louis and John W. Norris of St. Louis; a sibling: Joseph G. (Edie) Norris of Louisville, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 14) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
