Jacque Lynn Higgins, 58, Festus

Jacque Lynn Higgins, 58, of Festus died March 31, 2021, at her home. She was an information technology manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, working from the Clayton and Weldon Spring offices. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. She was a huge St. Louis Blues fan and a “sports mom.” She loved spending time with her grandchildren and riding her Harley. She will be remembered for being a caring friend. Born August 17, 1962, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Beverly (Small) Steiniger of Troy and the late James Husgen.

She is survived by a daughter: Chelsea (Alex) Hammond of De Soto; a son: Thomas “Trea” Higgins of Festus; two grandchildren: Zen and Luna Higgins; a sister: Jennifer (Chris) Lorenz of Arnold; a brother: James Husgen of Olathe, Kan.; a stepfather: Joseph Steiniger; a special niece: Tiffany (Oscar) Ortiz of Collinsville, Ill.; two special nephews: Jordan Lorenz of Arnold and Tyler Husgen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a brother-in-law: Jim Pritchett of St. Louis County.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Jill Pritchett.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday (April 6) at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Brother Ryan Johnston, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
