Jackie Earl McCormack, 82, of Festus died Aug. 18, 2016, at The Villas in De Soto. Mr. McCormack was a retired machine operator for White-Rodgers in St. Louis. Born June 22, 1934, in Festus, he was the son of the late Nora (Cruse) and James H. McCormack. He was preceded in death by his wife: Donna Sue (Coleman) McCormack.
He is survived by a brother: Kenneth (Sharon) “Pops” McCormack of Batesville, Ark.; two sisters: Imogene (the late Charles “Bud”) Jones of De Soto and Irma (the late Clayton “Pug”) Maupin of Herculaneum; his dear friend: Carolyn Ann Akins; and his special dog, Riley J.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Marcella (the late Daniel) Peterein, Beulah (the late Joe) Curry and Leta Mae McComack; and three brothers: Roy J. (Virginia) McComack, Orville (Rose) McComack and Leonard P. McComack.
Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Daniel Ross. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
