Irmgard Edith Dees, 89, of Festus died Aug. 17, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Dees was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Festus. Born Sept. 5, 1926, in Breslau, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Else (Bohm) and Alfred Hubert. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Andrew Dees.
She is survived by a son: Arnold D. (Pamela S.) Dees of Festus; three grandchildren: Carrie Dees, Dawn (Richard) Adler and Travis Dees; four great-grandchildren: Lauryn Shuppert, Ryan Shuppert, Eliora Adler and Grace McCabe; and one great-great-grandchild: Sean Andrade.
She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter: Hanna Shuppert.
Funeral services were held Aug. 19 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by Pastor Norm Bell. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
