Iris A. Brock, 89, Hillsboro

Iris A. Brock, 89, of Hillsboro died June 9, 2022, at Crystal Oaks in Crystal City. Mrs. Brock was a homemaker. Born April 15, 1933, in Harrisburg, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Lee Franklin and Annie Rebecca (Thompson) Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene “Gene” Brock.

She is survived by seven children: Rose Alexander, Kathy Amell, Charlene Hackett, Frank Watkins, John (Linda) Watkins, Patricia (Scott) Schmitz and Jerry (Chandy) Watkins; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son: David Watkins; two sisters: Elsie Alexander and Nell Pendergraf; three brothers: Verse, James and Sam Alexander; three stepdaughters; and one stepson.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Luckey Baptist Church, 5252 Hwy. Y, in De Soto, officiated by Paul Eye. Entombment will be in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
