Imelda (Hall) Wilson, 81, of Cadet died June 22, 2020. Mrs. Wilson owned and operated Wilson Truck Service with her husband for many years. She was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Hall Ladies Auxiliary in Old Mines, where she helped with funeral luncheons and other events. She also was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her community service and willingness to help others. Born July 19, 1938, in Cadet, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Coleman) and Hardy Hall.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Norman Wilson, whom she married June 24, 1960; a son: John (Taren) Wilson of Hillsboro; two daughters-in-law: Elaine Wilson of Hillsboro and Tiffany Read of California; a brother: Bernard (Regina) Hall of Tiff; two grandchildren: Alexis Rose and Matthew Thomas; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Tom Wilson and Tim Wilson; a brother: Robert “Bob” Hall; and a sister: Edith Rulo.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today (June 24) at Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark St., in Potosi. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at St. Joachim Catholic Church, 10120 Crest Road, in Old Mines, officiated by Father Tony Dattilo. Burial will be in the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joachim Catholic Church or St. Joachim Catholic School. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.
