Ida “Christine” Kitson, 99, of Cedar Hill died May 15, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Kitson was raised in Illinois and spoke fondly of her parents. She loved her Friday outings to the hairdresser and Sunday outings to church. She passed her time watching television, and her favorite show was “Sanford and Son.” Born July 9, 1919, in Marion, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Almis and Faye (Calhoun) Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband: Kermit E. Kitson.

She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews: Joy (John) Dunnegan, Brenda Birmingham, Judy (Don) Caputa, Gary (Debbie) Kitson, Melinda (Steve) Kiefer, Shelly (Richard) Laux, Karen (John) Clover, Marie (Matt) Vonderahe, Gail Worley and Larry (Terry) Kitson; five great-nieces and great-nephews: David Dunnegan, Mary (Dave) Kelsey, Debbie (Ken) Waters, Doug (Angie) Dunnegan and Daniel Dunnegan; one sister-in-law: Norma Birmingham; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and a few great-great-great nieces and great-great-great nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She also was preceded in death by one brother: Robert Adams; five brothers-in-law: Peter Birmingham, Archie Kitson, Gilbert Kitson, Robert Kitson and Lloyd Kitson; two sisters-in-law: Arline Kitson and Iva Kitson; three nephews: John Dunnegan, Ronald Birmingham and Kevin Worley; one great-nephew: Daryl Dunnegan; and one great-great niece: Allysa Dunnegan.

Graveside services will be at noon Saturday, May 18, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to MyLife Medical Center, 2608 Gravois Road, in High Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
