Nahlik, Herma

Herma Retta (Watkins) Nahlik, 64, of High Ridge died Aug. 8, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Nahlik was an administrative assistant at Affton High School. She previously worked at St. Louis Community College at Meramec and St. John’s Catholic Church in Imperial, where she was also a member. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking for her family and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and performances. Born Sept. 5, 1955, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Herman Watkins and Frankie Mae (Roscoe) Hollett.

She is survived by her husband: Victor “Vic” Nahlik, of High Ridge; five children: Victor M. (Jessica Meador) Nahlik of House Springs, Jerri (Mark) Meppiel of Festus, Cheri (Don Feltmann) Nahlik of Pevely, Cindi (Shannon) Nelson of Barnhart and Matthew (Kate) Nahlik of Pevely; seven grandchildren: Cecilia, Vincent, Evan, Gavin, Mason, Lucas and Lucy; a brother:  

Ron (Connie) Watkins of Batesville, Ark.; two sisters: Martha Wren and Kathy (Steve) Spinner of Moline, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in the funeral home chapel. The family has requested that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing and other coronavirus prevention guidelines. Burial will follow in the St. John Catholic Church Cemetery in Imperial. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
