Helen Ruth Turner, 85, of Pevely died Aug. 19, 2019, at Scenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Mrs. Turner was the retired director of the cardiovascular department at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She was a very devout Christian who enjoyed attending church and spending time with family. Born March 13, 1934, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Carrie (Thornton) and Grover Coffman. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Lee Turner.
She is survived by a daughter: Dianne Williams of Pevely; four grandchildren: Tracy (Chip) Svejkosky of Festus, Travis Turner of Pevely, Stephanie Turner of Crystal City and Joshua Williams of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren: Brantley Toelke and Harlow Svejkosky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Keith (the late Tammy) Turner; and seven siblings.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to Scenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1333 Scenic Drive, Herculaneum, 63048. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
