Helen M. Ogle, 72, of Springfield, formerly of De Soto and Festus, died Jan. 10, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Ogle was retired from the Missouri Division of Employment Security. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in De Soto and PEO Chapter NE. Born Sept. 24, 1944, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Ivy M. (Scott) and Woodrow Henry McBroom.
She is survived by her husband: Ronald H. Ogle; a brother: Delbert “Bobby” McBroom of St. Louis; a sister-in-law: Janet G. Ogle of Springfield; a brother-in-law: Delmar Hunning of St. Louis; a niece: Linda (Randy) Underwood of Springfield; and a great-nephew: Jacob Underwood of Springfield. She was preceded in death by a brother: Floyd (the late Brenda) McBroom; and a sister-in-law: Shirley Mae Hunning.
A graveside service was held Jan. 14 at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Jack King. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
