Helen M. Dilks, 96, of De Soto died Nov. 9, 2021, at her home. Ms. Dilks worked in central supply at Farmington Community Hospital. She was a member of the VFW post in Potosi and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, playing dice and spending time with her family and friends. Born May 30, 1925, in Lonedell, she was the daughter of the late Areta S. and Eugene Lewis Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Edward Dilks.
She is survived by a daughter: Susan (Monty) Cordray of De Soto; 10 grandchildren: Heather (Curt) Opsahl, Jonathon Cordray, Amber McDermott, Benjamin (Sara) Cordray, Blake (Karleigh) McDermott, Sherry (Tom) Mistretta, Madonna Livingston, Roy (Kala) Evans, Tim Schwent and Michelle (Scott Moore) Schwent; several great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Ronald Lee Just; a daughter-in-law: Helen Just; three brothers: John Lewis, Earl Lewis and Forrest Lewis; and two sisters: Shirley Wright and Ella “Ray” Huff.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Red Bud Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
