Harold Lee Thompson, 81, of De Soto died March 27, 2014, at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis County. Mr. Thompson worked at St. Joe Lead. Born Feb. 19, 1933, in Mansfield, he was the son of the late W. Harold and Eva Lee (Bell) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Heather Reichard.
He is survived by a sister-in-law: Shirley Thompson of De Soto; three nieces: Geryl (Ken) Elfrank of Festus, Vicki (Mark Davis) Thompson of Festus and Judy (Mike) Boynton of De Soto; two great-nephews: Geron Elfrank and Brandon Boynton; a great-niece: Brittany Boynton; and two great-great-nephews: Hayden Elfrank and Jacob Cortez. He was preceded in death by a brother: Gerald “Jerry” Thompson.
Graveside services were held March 31 at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
