Harmon Lee Hicks, 76, of De Soto died June 15, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Hicks was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member and Elder Statesman of Alcoholics Anonymous and was 31 years sober. Born Dec. 4, 1940, in Tampa, Fla., he was the son of the late Leon and Katherine (Pence) Hicks.
He is survived by his wife: Susan (Thomas) Hicks of De Soto; a son: Harmon Mark Hicks of Humboldt, Calif.; a sister: Carolyn Jean Haag of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one grandson: Shaun Max Smith of California.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, July 1, at Wing and Prayer AA Group in Belton. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
