Harlan Garrett, 92, of Fenton died Oct. 19, 2014, in Fenton.
Mr. Harlan enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and woodworking.
Born July 31, 1921, in Qulin, he was the son of the late George and Ollie (Jarrett) Garrett.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years: Jewell (Eaton) Garrett of Fenton; seven children: Gloria (Dennis) Laster of Fenton, Glenda Strickland of St. Louis, Erma Sue (Gary) Vessells of Fenton, Harlan Dale (Conua) Garrett of Ellsinore, Connie Lee Stranger of Marble Hill, Deborah Ann (Roger) Webb of Marble Hill and Sandra Rae Garrett of Fenton; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four siblings: Robert (Nancy) Garrett of Ellsinore, Jerry (Eileen) Garrett of Ellsinore, Bill (Margie) Garrett of Sun City West, Ariz., and Ollie Ford of Ellsinore; and many other relatives.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Donna Jean Williford; and three siblings: Gladys Shulz, Mary Rose Morelan and Bonnie Clyburn.
Funeral services were this morning (Oct. 23) at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial was at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill.
