Gloria Mae Masters, 87, of Festus died Dec. 14, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Masters was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Crystal City, the daughter of the late Mary Ellen (DeRousse) and Albert N. Pullen.
She is survived by her husband: John “Jack” Durand Masters of Festus; a daughter: Teresa L. (James “Jamie”) Lively of Festus; a brother: Cletus L. (the late Judith) Pullen of Festus; a sister: Betty Lou (the late Ora) Kemfer of Festus; and three grandchildren: Christopher Lively, Alex Lively and Brooke Lively.
She was preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey B. Masters; a daughter: Jacqueline E. (the late Ronald) Coleman; a grandson: Adrian Masters; three brothers: Alfred N. (the late Lena and the late Betty) Pullen, Roman L. (the late Joan and the late Norma) Pullen and Glennon (the late Patricia) Pullen; and a sister: Elaine M. Portell.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Festus. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
