Glenda Carol (Huskey) Gainer, 86, of De Soto died April 26, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Gainer worked for De Soto Shoe Co. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in De Soto. She enjoyed cooking, puzzle books, word find books, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Born Feb. 2, 1936, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Thelma C. (Byron) Huskey.
She is survived by her son: Terry W. Gainer of De Soto; two daughters: Sheryl (Bob) Pinson and Robin (Mike) O'Toole, all of De Soto; three grandchildren: Ashley (Ryan) Johnston, Dustin (Amy) Maupin and Shannon (Dane) Fallert; six great-grandchildren: Clarke, Alexander, Alana, Talon, Addilynn and Chase; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Donald W. Huskey.
Services were held April 29 at Mahn De Soto Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Moses officiating, followed by burial in Mammoth Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
