Geraldine “Gerry” ( Branson) Hoffman, 68, of Dittmer died Feb. 4, 2023. Mrs. Hoffman loved to cook and enjoyed making lots of food for family gatherings and hosting theme parties and game nights with family and friends. She was outspoken, had a passion for traveling and loved camping with her husband. Born Oct. 10, 1954, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Brooks) Branson.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years: James Steven Hoffman; two sons: Steven (Heather) Hoffman and Christopher (Lesley) Hoffman; four grandchildren: James Hoffman, Mekenzie Hoffman, Stephen Hoffman and Emily Hoffman; a great-grandson: Thatcher Hoffman; two siblings: Donna (Frank) Allen and Edward Branson; along with many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Patsy (Dave) Taylor and Barbara (Marvin) Wyatt.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A graveside service will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
