Gerald “Jerry” Schneider, 74, of De Soto died Aug. 16, 2022, at his home. Mr. Schneider was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1968 to 1970. He later worked as an over-the-road truck driver. Born April 24, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Bette and William Schneider.
He is survived by his wife: Traci Sue Schneider of De Soto; a son: Justin (Barb) Schneider of Festus; a daughter: Angie (Kevin) Crady of De Soto; a sister: Brenda Sutter of House Springs; eight grandchildren: Alexis, Wyatt, Kalob, Dakota, Autymn, Ashlyn, Gabriel and Nikolai; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother: Earl Blomberg; and a grandson: Lochlan.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
