Gerad Fredrick Neihouse Sr., 77, of De Soto died July 3, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Neihouse worked as a mechanic for Bi-State and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. In his spare time, he enjoyed anything related to cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Born March 21, 1944, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Gabe and Francis (Hill) Neihouse.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann (Dower) Neihouse of De Soto; a son: Robert (Olena) Neihouse of Jenks, Okla.; two daughters: Lisa (fiance James Guccione) Neihouse of Festus and Christine (Andy) Hoenig of Port St. Lucy, Fla.; a brother: Anthony Neihouse of Ironton; a sister: Pam (Albert) Meyer of De Soto; three grandchildren: Megan and Jarrett Hoenig and Alex Neihouse; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Gerad Fredrick Neihouse Jr.; a sister-in-law: Paula Neihouse; and a brother: Franny Neihouse.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at noon Thursday (July 8) at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Alex Anderson.
