Georgina Martha Shultz, 90, of Pevely, died April 19, 2020, at Festus Manor Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Shultz was a member of the First Baptist Church in Horine, where she taught Children’s Church. She was a “Pink Lady” with the Jefferson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Jefferson Baptist Association. Born Feb. 16, 1930, in Mapaville, she was the daughter of the late Ada Marie (Jett) and Frank Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack Raymond Shultz.
She is survived by four sons: Delray “Lucky” (Catherine) Shultz of Anchorage, Alaska; James (Minnie) Shultz of Barnhart, Michael (Loretta) Shultz of Pevely and Terry (Betty) Shultz of Mapaville; a brother: Charles (Edith) Johnston of Hillsboro; a sister: Thelma (the late Don) Shelton of Festus; 16 grandchildren: Jeremy, John, Eric, Jason, Mindy, Kim, Amy, Jimmy, Angie, Ben, Tim, Josh, Tonya, Patricia, Carmen and Stacey; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Charles (Dale survives of Festus) Shultz; two brothers: Lindze Johnson and Leroy Johnston; and a foster son: Gene Jones.
Private graveside services were held at the Sandy Cemetery in Hillsboro. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
