George Lowe, 83, of House Springs died April 28, 2019, at his home. Mr. Lowe volunteered at St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital for 20 years and served on the Jefferson County Public Sewer District board. He was the president of the Weber Hill Terrace Community Association and attended Hope Lutheran Church in High Ridge, where he served as a trustee and usher. George loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, mowing lawns and talking, and he never met a stranger. Born March 29, 1936, in Dwight, Ill., he was the son of the late Arthur and Mae (Wade) Lowe.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Sandra (Bauer) Lowe of House Springs; his daughter: Vicki (Don) Wilson; three granddaughters: Michelle Wilson, Melissa (Derick) Tramel and Megan (Jake) Grossbauer; seven great-granddaughters: Ashley Gallion, Hannah Segasture, Lexi Tramel, Lainey Tramel, Lee Tramel, Madison Grossbauer and Ryleigh Grossbauer; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son: Lonnie Lowe; and five siblings: Arthur Lowe, James Lowe, Francis Lowe, Estella Dunbar and Eleanor Lowe.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2308 Gravois Road, in High Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
