Gary C. Sherrill, 75, of High Ridge died Oct. 11, 2016, at Marymount Manor in Eureka. Mr. Sherrill was retired after working for the Chrysler Corp. for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold, here he volunteered as an attendant at the Family Life Center. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, boating, and deer hunting. Born June 24, 1941, in Licking, he was the son of the late Lester and Pearl (Saylor) Sherrill.
He is survived by two children: Tammy (Billy) Scheidl of High Ridge and Sandy (Tommy DePriest) Jeademann of House Springs; three grandchildren: Amy Scheidl, Jacob (Liz Wohlschlaeger) Scheidl and Michael Jeademann; a brother: Bill (Marge) Sherrill of Theodosia; a sister: Donna Mae (Benny) Foster of Lincoln; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter: Haley Bequette; and a brother: Dean Sherrill.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, 11300 St. Charles Rock Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
