Gardenia Petty-Davis, 81, of Festus died Nov. 22, 2015, in Festus. Mrs. Petty-Davis was the owner of and bookkeeper for Redhage Trucking and Industrial Delivery Service. She was a member of the Amvets Post 48 Ladies Auxiliary and the International Mahjong League and she volunteered at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, bingo and going to casinos. She was born March 29, 1934, in Qulin, the daughter of the late Chester and Hazel (Osborn) Petty.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Martin Davis.
She is survived by two daughters: Ronda (David) Schutte of De Soto and Karla (Kenny) Fincher of Festus; two sisters: Louise (Gene) Neil of Hillsboro and Frances (Gene) Glatetter of Paducah, Ky.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Mahn Twin City Chapel, officiated by Pastor Lennie Fincher. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis., Tenn. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
