Frederick C. “Fred” Wall Jr., 82, of De Soto died March 8, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Wall was a retired operations supervisor for AT&T. He was a member of Amvets Post 48 and Elks Post 689. Born Oct. 6, 1938, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Frances Ann (Brady) and Frederick Charles Wall Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia C. (Reynolds) Wall.
He is survived by a mother-in-law: Ricarda Reynolds of Surprise, Ariz.; a daughter: Melissa Wall of De Soto; a sister: Mary Lou Holt of Manchester; and two honorary grandchildren: Jacob Winford and Hailey Winford.
He was preceded in death by a son: Frederick C. Wall III; and two sisters: Dorothy Coxwell and Jane Stephens.
A memorial gathering will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, immediately followed by services officiated by Don Bahr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
