Frances Shults, 92, of Festus died Aug. 16, 2021, at Delmar Gardens in St. Louis. Mrs. Shults enjoyed bowling, making ceramic, going out to eat and listening to music. Born Oct. 9, 1928, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dora (Jahn) Jennewein.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Warren Shults.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Robert (Andrea) Walter, Michelle (Ray) Orf, Dawn (Jeff) Mikel and Christopher (Kate) Walter; a special niece: Sherri Strauser; a nephew: Ronald Strauser; a special friend; Marissa Akins; 11 great-grandchildren: Amber, Andrew, Jordan, Tyler, Hailey, William, Kyle, Elizabeth, Zachary, Emma and Brian; and two great-great-grandchildren: Ezra and Karter.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancie Walter; and four siblings: Dolly, Andrew, Bernard and Robert.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 20) at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home, 1116 N. Desloge Drive, in Desloge, officiated by the Rev. Michael Holland. Burial will follow in Lake Charles Park Cemetery, 7775 St. Charles Rock Road, in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home.
