Evelyn (Gilbert) DeClue, 86, of Festus died Jan. 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. DeClue was a homemaker and an avid gardener, often gifting friends and neighbors with the products of her gardens. She found great pleasure in family gatherings and holidays. She was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Timbo, Ark., and was preceded in death by her longtime companion: Larry Reece.
She is survived by four children: Anthony (Kathy) Masterson of Festus, Joan (Randy) Beck of Bonne Terre, Dave (Angie) Masterson of Festus and Donald DeClue of Herculaneum; four grandchildren: Denise Bailey, Scoey Wills, Nick Masterson and Madeline DeClue; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
