Ethel Inez Meyer, 86, of Crystal City died Dec. 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Meyer worked as an LPN. She enjoyed painting, crafts and spending time with her family. Born Feb. 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Lella (Blagg) Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years: Donnell L. Meyer of Crystal City; two sons: Dennis (the late Barbara) Riggs of Pevely and Kevin (Donna) Riggs of Herculaneum; three daughters: Cindy Sandifer of Crystal City, Phyllis (Ron) Henderson of Valley Park and Becky (Rick Delarber) Smith of Kimberling City; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Mitchell; a sister: Louise Hicks; two grandsons: Brandon and Jason Smith; and a great-grandson: Kurtis Allen.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by the Rev Scott Parker. Burial will follow at a later date in the Herculaneum City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
