Ethel Elizabeth Becker-Cummings, 93, of Festus died Jan. 16, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Becker-Cummings worked in the St. Louis munitions plant during World War II and then the PPG plant in Crystal City. Born June 16, 1924, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Rayoum) and Frank DeRousse.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands: Eugene Francis Becker and Mearl Robert Cummings.
She is survived by two sons: Lynus F. Becker of Stark City and Benjamin D. (Teresa) Becker of Festus; a daughter: Elizabeth Ann Becker of Cassville; 13 grandchildren: Paul Becker, John Becker, Amy (Jessie) Nelson, Justin E. (Jessica) Becker, Jessica (Chris) Blechle, Jennifer Marie (John Pizanno) Becker, Michael Gene Becker, Daniel Lee Becker, Bobby Jo Crane, Jamie Lee Becker, Patty Ann Becker, Lisa Becker and Sarah Becker; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Dennis and Gerald E. Becker; four brothers: Berlin J., Ben, Roy and Clements DeRousse; and a sister: Delores Mack.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 22, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Jerry Stoverink. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
