Ernest Nicholas Cook, 92, of Arnold died Sept. 19, 2016, at his home. Mr. Cook was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Clarkton, the son of the late Festus Henry Cook and Pearl Jane (Knight) Cook.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Flossie Mae “Jean” (Webb) Cook, whom he married Oct. 27, 1946; a daughter: Mary J. (Phillip) Edwards of Imperial; two sisters: Jewel Jones of Crystal Springs, Miss., and Francis E. Bennett of Abilene, Texas; two granddaughters: Brenda J. Ramo of Mineral Point and Kristie L. (William) Voorhees of Bourbon; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Christine Cook and Ruth Gray; and two brothers: George Andrew Cook and Franklin Cook.
A funeral service was held Sept. 25 at DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi. Burial was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Arrangements were under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
