Weiss, Emma

Emma “Emmalou” Weiss, 17, of Farmington died June 16, 2021, as a result of an automobile accident. Miss Weiss was Christian and an active member of the New Heights Church in Farmington, where she was a prayer warrior and was involved in the youth group and vacation Bible school.. She ran cross country and track, originally at North County High School and more recently with the Farmington Knights. She sang with both North County and Farmington choral groups including the Choraliers. She was a pianist and dabbled in playing the saxophone, guitar, and ukulele. She enjoyed singing, photography, and spending time on the farm with her animals, especially her two dogs, Beau and Maxx. Born March 29, 2004, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Neil Patrick and Angie Christel (Trautwein) Weiss.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother: John Patrick Gabriel Weiss of Farmington; two sisters: Erika (Kaleb D. Penuel) Weiss of Farmington and Peyton “Abbey” Weiss; grandparents: Hartmut “Art” (Cathy) Trautwein of Potosi and Ron (Judy) Weiss of Bonne Terre; a nephew: Jackson Penuel, with another nephew on the way; and a special friend: Isaiah Townsend.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother: Michael Weiss; an older brother: Matty; and her Mema: Shirley Faye (Canada) Trautwein.

Visitation is scheduled from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home, 1116 N. Desloge Drive, in Desloge. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at New Heights Church, 4982 Flat River Road, in Farmington, officiated by Klint Silvey and Matt Prihoda. Burial will take place in the Weiss Family Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Emma Weiss Memorial Scholarship Fund at Belgrade State Bank. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home.
