Elizabeth Venida “Betty” Perry, 79, of Festus died Nov. 26, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed watching “The Waltons” and listening to polka, German and Hungarian music. She was born Nov. 29, 1937, in St Louis, the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Rapp) Jerhoff. She was preceded in death by her husband: Oliver Perry.
She is survived by a son: Glenn (Gina) Perry of Festus; two daughters: Cynthia (Roger) Thompson of Crystal City and Esther (Jeff) Davis De Soto; a sister: Shirley Cooper of Affton; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons: Dale Jerhoff, David Stringer and Frank Stringer.
Visitation is at 10:30 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Bishop Andrew Miller. Burial is in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
