Elizabeth Carolyn Coffey Hall, 91, of Richmond, Ky., formerly of Hillsboro, died Jan. 6, 2021, at the Kenwood Nursing Facility in Richmond. Mrs. Hall worked in the health care industry, where she especially enjoyed working with the elderly, and worked for the Chrysler Corp. She was a member of the Clarksville Baptist Church and volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels. She was a member and officer of the Eastern Star and served as a Cub Scout den mother. Born March 16, 1929, in Richmond, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Berl and Martha Jane (Lynch) Oliver. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Hall; and her former husband and the father of her children: Donald Lee Coffey.
She is survived by three daughters: Wanda “Bittie” (John) Peters of De Soto, Sharleen (Mike) Peters of Bonne Terre and Kathy Wilson of Richmond, Ky.; a sister: Opal Gladys Fiebig of Richmond; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a niece; three nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son: Donald Lee Coffey Jr.; a sister: Louise Bowlin; a grandson:
Jerry M. Peters; and a great-grandson: Joshua Politte.
A funeral service was held Jan. 10 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home in Richmond, Ky. Burial was in the Flatwoods Cemetery in Richmond. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a chairity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
