Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Bleckler, 90, of Festus died Oct. 20, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Bleckler was born Dec. 7, 1926, in Crystal City, the daughter of the late Lorene (Perry) and Bernard LaRose Sr.
She is survived by three daughters: Sharon (Stephen) Filer of Festus, Beth (Wyman) Fedorchak of Crystal City and Mary Henneman of Festus; four sons: Norman Bleckler Jr. of Pevely, Michael (Tammy) Bleckler of Belleville, Ill., Richard Bleckler of Crystal City and Rudy Hennemann of Festus; a daughter-in-law: Billie Blecker; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Dennis R. Bleckler; and a brother: Bernard (the late Roberta) LaRose Jr.
A graveside funeral service was held Oct. 23 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
