Egan Edward Hammon, 18, of Jefferson County died May 11, 2022. He had attended Hillsboro High School and was on track to graduate this month. He loved skateboarding, and during his young life, he played football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he will be remembered for his big heart and positive outlook. Born Sept. 10, 2003, in St. Louis, he was the son of Ed Hammon of Jefferson County and Tamara Friedrich of Jefferson County.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother: Josh Friedrich; a sister: Krystin Mitchell; a brother-in-law: William Froelich; two nieces: Rory and Mickey Froelich; two nephews, Wil Froelich and Phoenix Mitchell; his girlfriend: Kori Dillender; four grandparents: Donna McKenzie, Phyllis Sipes, Adrienne Stahl and Tom Stahl; and many other family members and friends
He was preceded in death by a brother: Alex Mitchell; a grandmother: Delores Wakefield; a great-grandmother: Eunice Herrod; an aunt: Lynette Fasnacht; and a cousin: Zac DePung.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 West Main St., in Festus, officiated by Gary Eubanks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
