Edward “Scott” McBride, 51, of Festus died March 25, 2020, at his home. Mr. McBride worked at Penny Window. He served in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm. Born May 27, 1968, in Park Ridge, Ill., he was the son of Sandra (Hogan) Knickman of Webster Groves and the late Edward R. McBride. He also is survived by a stepmother: Maria McBride of Arnold, and he was preceded in death by a stepfather: Bernard Knickman.
He also is survived by his wife: Sandra (Hamel) McBride of Festus; a daughter: Chelsea (Michael) Wine of Arnold; two sisters: Charlet (Michael) Townsend of Webster Groves and Tracey (Gregory) Carlton of Bloomsdale; a brother: Daniel (Krissie) McBride of Arnold; and three grandchildren: Evelyn, Aubrey and Noah.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 24) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday (Sept. 25) in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Patriot Guard Riders, c/o Robert Meeks, 1500 Robertson Ave., Carthage, MO 64836. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
