Edward N. Martin Sr., 69, of Festus died May 3, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital. Mr. Martin was a painter and supervisor with Chrysler. Born Aug. 16, 1947, in Victoria, he was the son of the late Robert and Virgie (Sansoucie) Martin.
He is survived by his wife: Sue (Anderson) Martin of Festus; three children: Edward Nelson Martin Jr. of Festus, Rene (Mark) Solomon of De Soto and Erin Czarnecki of Farmington; a sister: Virginia (Thomas) Murphy of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Allison, Brittany, Jacob, Emily, Elizabeth and Katelyn; and two great-grandchildren: Ian and Jaxson.
Visitation is scheduled at 1 p.m. and a funeral service at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Dave Evans. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
