Edward Leslie Acey, 74, of De Soto died Sept. 16, 2021, at his home. Mr. Acey worked as a plumber with Local 35 (now Local 562).He loved to go to the casino, play horseshoes, play PacMan, watch the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams, and most of all he loved camping and spending time with his family in Eminence. He was born Sept. 11, 1947, in San Pedro, Calif., the son of the late Bonnie (Seabaugh) and Edward Acey Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Mae (Hall) Acey.
He is survived by a son: Scott (Michelle) Acey of Arnold; a daughter: Jamie (Josh) Acey of De Soto; a brother: Gary ( Mia) Acey of De Soto; three sisters: Donna Good of Arnold, Linda Wright of Imperial and Vicky (Steve) Maness of Bonne Terre; two grandsons: Zachary and Aaron; three granddaughters: Lily, Ashley (Daniel) and Libbey (Brice); three great-grandchildren: Paisely, Payton and Blake; a nephew: Jody (Angie) Acey of De Soto; three nieces: Tracy (Jay) Harbison of De Soto, Kelly (Tom) Lorenz of Festus and Tina (Chris) Brooks of De Soto; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Steve Good and David Wright.
Private services will be held at a later date in Eminence. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
