Edward J. Avery Jr., 77, of Ashland, formerly of Barnhart, died Oct. 19, 2017, at the University of Missouri. Mr. Avery was a graduate of Melville High School and was retired from Laborers Union Local 110. Born Jan. 26, 1940, in Flamm City (now part of Arnold), he was the son of the late Edward and Josephine M. Schmidt Avery.
He is survived by one sister; one daughter; two grandchildren; and many friends.
A celebration of life was held Oct. 29 at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland.
