Moiser, Earl

Earl James Moiser, 83, of De Soto died Feb. 19, 2022, in De Soto. Mr. Moiser worked for Reynolds Aluminum, Werner Bros. Roofing and Piro Fireworks. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member and past commander of Amvets Post 48, a life member of Elks Lodge 689 and a longtime volunteer with the De Soto Little League. Born Jan. 17, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late George Moiser and Flossie Mae (Taylor) Walton and the stepson of the late Earl Walton.

He is survived by his wife: Gloria Jean (McCart) Moiser of De Soto; a daughter: Karen (Chuck) Smith of Festus; four grandchildren: Rickey McKee Sr., Danny Tidwell, Michael (Shelly) Smith and Matthew (Sherry) Smith; and five great-grandchildren: Rickey McKee Jr., Jesse James McKee, Daniel Cash Tidwell, Aubrey Tidwell and Isaiah Aubuchon. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Pauline Schott and Ruby Wagner; and two brothers: Charles Moiser and George Moiser.

Visitation is scheduled from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
