Dwayne E. Boyer, 53, of Hillsboro died Feb. 5, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Boyer was a maintenance technician with Maritz Travel and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in De Soto. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1185 and the Diaconate Formation Program, and enjoyed camping. Born Jan. 14, 1967, in Hillsboro, he was the son of James A. and Bernice P. (Wells) Boyer of De Soto. He was preceded in death by his wife: Angela Louise (Becker) Boyer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children: Holly Boyer and Brenden Boyer, both of Hillsboro; and three siblings: Darrell (Stacy) Boyer of Villa Ridge, Craig Boyer of De Soto and Randy Boyer of De Soto.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
