Dorothy Juanita Isbell, 88, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of High Ridge, died March 20, 2017, at Woodland Manor in Arnold. Mrs. Isbell was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Brosely, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha (Shackelford) Rice.
She is survived by four children: Frank (Marleen) Isbell of Arnold, Brenda (Dave) Ruzicka of High Ridge, Gary (Linda) Isbell of High Ridge and Marilyn (Adam) Kristoff of Ballwin; close family friends Bob And Sue Atchyl of Creve Coeur; three sisters: Carma Miniex, Ellovee Pulcher and Patsy Patterson; two brothers: Alvin (Flo) Rice and Joy (Jackie) Rice; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three infant brothers: Verlin, Eugene and Jerry Lee; and three sisters: Imogene Burnhn, Mavis Kisner and Marge Lawrence.
A funeral service was held March 25 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk, officiated by the Rev. Jim Sanders. Burial was in the Mole Hill Cemetery in Brosely. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of White-Sanders Funeral Home
