Dorothy Jean Lucas, 82, of De Soto died Aug. 20, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Hobson was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in De Soto. Born March 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Johnston) Woolsey Dollar and Robert E. Hobson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Francis J. “Frank” Lucas.
She is survived by two daughters: Debi (Ken) Kloosterman of Trufant, Mich., and Theresa (Ronald) McKenzie of Nokomis, Fla.; a son: William J. “Bill” (Brenda) Lucas of Fenton; a sister: Bev Agers of De Soto; a brother: James (Sue) Woolsey of North Branch, Mich.; a sister-in-law: Jean Hobson of De Soto; a brother-in-law: Darrell Girardier of De Soto; four grandchildren: Kelly, Terry, Mackenzie and Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren: Morgan, Kendall, Tori, Michael, Lucas, Cooper and Isaac.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Norma Girardier; and a brother: Robert C. “Chalk Eye” Hobson Sr.
A visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at First Assembly of God Church, 12635 Hwy. 21, in De Soto, officiated by the Revs. Derek Jones and Jon Duncan. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
