Doris Jean Rogers, 75, of De Soto died Aug. 7, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Rogers worked at Plaza Cleaners and retired as the church secretary for the First Free Will Baptist Church in De Soto, where she was a member. Born March 23, 1946, in Fisk, she was the daughter of Havel V. (Payne) and James E. Marler.

She is survived by her husband: Floyd “Bud” Rogers, whom she married May 15, 1965; three children: Cindy (Joe) Queen of Bourbon, Lori Anne Baynes of Oakdale, Ill., and Julie (Tony) Hodges of Fenton; a sister: Joan (the late Otto “Pete”) Keller of De Soto; 10 grandchildren: Justin (Brittany) Chilton, Casey (Mitchell) Boyer, Katelyn Queen, Rhonda (LeRoy) Baynes, Ken (Kayla) Baynes, DeAnna Baynes, Joshua (Anna) Manson, Dalton Dorsey, Sophie Hodges and Brayden Hodges; and six great-grandchildren: Emma, Wyatt, Austin, Loralei, Hailey and Dakota.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the church, officiated by Bob Thebeau. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, De Soto.
