Doris E. Ray, 94, Arnold

Doris E. Ray, 94, of Arnold died March 1, 2023, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. Mrs. Ray was a homemaker. Born Oct. 26, 1928, in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Lula and Earl Spellmeyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband: George Ray.

She is survived by two grandchildren: Nickie (Chris) Kopp of South County and Stacy (Dr. Brett) Dickinson of Farmington; six great-grandchildren: Caroline, Parker and Mallory Dickinson, Madison (Ryan) Kimmel, Mason Johnson and Georgia Kopp; and a great-great-granddaughter: Eleanor Kimmel.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Diann Kay DeClue; a brother: Michael Spellmeyer; and two sisters: Dorothy Ray and Kathy Bingham.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, with the Rev. Gene Moses officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
