Donna Rae Laird, 78, of Cedar Hill died June 3, 2024, in St. Louis. Ms. Laird was a teacher at Grandview School District. When not in the classroom, Donna loved to spend time outdoors, especially going on camping trips and hiking excursions. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, enthusiasm and her passion for life. Born Oct. 29, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Bonnie Jean (Miller) and Raymond Crow Sr.
She is survived by three siblings: Lana (Leonard) Becker, Mark (Debbie) Crow and Raymond (Trisha) Crow Jr.; eight nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and-nephews; longtime friends: Vera Ward and Sandra Johnson; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Sammy and Michael; and a sister: R. JoAnn Crow.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, June 7, at First Baptist Church, 8265 Local Hillsboro Road, in Cedar Hill. Burial will follow in Local Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse or to Open Door Animal Sanctuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
