Donna Dean Bauman, 78, of Hillsboro died June 19, 2017, at Fountainbleau Nursing Home in Crystal City. Mrs. Bauman and her husband owned Bauman’s Mercantile in Hillsboro for more than 40 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro for 55 years. Born May 6, 1939, in Cantwell, she was the daughter of the late John Powell and Eva (Leroy) Scott Powell French. She was preceded in death by her husband: George John Bauman, who died in 2015.
She is survived by a son: George “Junior” Bauman of Hillsboro; and a daughter: Karen Sue (Perry) Molens of De Soto. She was preceded in death by a sister: Shelby Jean Vinyard.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Zion Lutheran Church, 9700 Zion Lutheran Church Road, in Hillsboro, Pastor Mark Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
